Friesland announced that it will invest more than 90 million euros (equivalent to 0.721 billion RMB) to strengthen its global competitiveness in the high-value whey protein field and optimize its local production network in the Netherlands.

On May 5th, FrieslandCampina announced that it will invest over 90 million euros (approximately 721 million RMB) to enhance its global competitiveness in the high-value whey protein sector and optimize its local production network in the Netherlands. The company stated that this round of investment will increase production capacity and production flexibility, and by combining energy and water resource-efficient technologies and the replacement of outdated production lines, it is expected to reduce approximately 16,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. At the same time, it will enhance the global customer supply capacity and the level of sustainable development. The related projects are expected to be gradually completed and put into operation before 2028.
