Recently, two group standards, the “Technical Specifications for the Quality of Pod Coffee” and the “Job Skills Standard for Pour-over Coffee Baristas,” were officially released.
The two standards are overseen by the China Cooperative Trade Enterprises Association, and were jointly drafted by隅田川 Coffee, the Business and Catering Service Industry Development Center, and the Business Innovation Working Committee of the China Business Federation.
Among them, the “Technical Specifications for the Quality of Pod Coffee” regulates the classification of pod coffee, technical indicators, and packaging and transportation procedures. The “Standards for the Skills of Hand-Drip Coffee Baristas” covers skill requirements and certification levels.
