The ancestors of the Wang family are a family of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners. The grandfather of our founders was proficient in traditional Chinese medicine and saved many lives in local county. The grandmother had deep research on gynecology and enjoyed a high reputation in the local community. The couple did their best in raising up the three brothers but during the tough time of China, only the middle and younger brother got the chance to finish their college study, even though the elder brother had a very good academic performance. After the reform and opening up, the two younger brothers Wang Xueliang (at the time was senior engineer and deputy general manager of China Yellow Sea Seaweed Industry Group) and Wang Yimin (by then was the first generation of seaweed researcher which was educated by a program established by Premier Zhou Enlai specifically) helped their elder brother to start a factory and build a benchmark enterprise in hydrocolloids industry in China. In 1985, coinciding with the spring breeze of reform and opening up, Mr. Wang Qizhang's two younger brothers helped him to set up a agar processing factory (Jinjiang County Yongningxiazhai Marine Chemical Factory), and officially entering the hydrocolloids manufacturing business, becoming the starting point of Zhenpai. In 1991, Zhenpai established Shishi City Xiaguang Seaweed Industry Co., Ltd., specializing in the research and production of carrageenan (becoming the first carrageenan manufacturer in China). In 2003, Zhenpai established Shishi City Xieli Marine Biochemical Co., Ltd. (later renamed "Zhenpai Xieli (Fujian) Food Technology Co., Ltd."), continuing to focus on its main business and consolidate its foundation. In 2013, Zhenpai (Fujian) Marine Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was established, and its production scale expanded rapidly. It entered the fast lane of Zhenpai's development and took a key step towards expanding the carrageenan and agar. In 2021, Zhenpai successfully acquired the equipment, technology and marketing channels of Putian Jingyi in March, and successfully completed the acquisition of 100% equity of Fujian Ansheng Marine Biotechnology Co., Ltd. in June of the same year, and changed its name to "Fujian Jingyi Marine Biotechnology Co., Ltd." Continue to move forward. In 2023, ushering into a new phase of the company, Zhenpai Group determined to relocate its headquarters from Fujian to Shanghai to seize the advantage of Shanghai's unique position in China, fully integrate its resources and achieve new milestones in talent acquisition, marketing strategy, technical expertise, as well as service quality. On top of which, the company is launching its strategic transformation from a "traditional manufacturing enterprise" to a "professional and technical manufacturing enterprise." Future plans Building overseas production bases In 2024, Zhenpai will continue to polish its products and further increase production capacity, In the wave of supply-side reform, it will lay out overseas production bases. At present, the Asia-Pacific production base in Indonesia has entered the preparing stage.
