Lysozyme is a glycoside hydrolase, composed of 18 kinds of 129 amino acid residues, with 4 S-S bonds and a molecular weight of 14307. It is a hydrolase that specifically acts on the cell wall of microorganisms. It is commonly found in various tissues, secretions of humans and animals, and some plants and microorganisms. It can dissolve the cell wall of Gram-positive bacteria and has a strong killing effect on them. It can also be used for crystallized protein lysozyme preparations to prevent food spoilage. It is widely used in food preservation (especially cheese and sake production), medicine (tablets, capsules, eye drops, throat lotion), daily chemicals (toothpaste, cosmetics), baby food (breast milk powder) and scientific research.
Product Features:
1. Lysozyme, as a natural preservative, has unique advantages such as strong antibacterial properties, safety and non-toxicity, good thermal stability and a wide range of action.
2. Lysozyme is a protein that is relatively stable to pH changes and heat stable under acidic conditions. By adopting bioengineering technology, adjusting the pH value of protein and separating by adsorption with ion exchange resin, the enzyme activity is greater than 400 million u/g, reaching the standard of medical grade.
3. Lysozyme can dissolve bacterial cells, especially has a strong effect on Gram-positive bacteria, and has various properties of antibiotics. This is because it has a decomposition effect on the polysaccharides of glycoprotein (mucin-like) in the cell membrane wall, and can decompose chitin and glycol chitin to obtain carbonate, hydrochloride and nitrate crystals.
Product properties: light yellow or white solid powder
Product specifications: food grade or medical grade 4.5 million FIP u/g, 45 million FIP u/g
Application areas:
4. Lysozyme is a non-toxic protein with no side effects, and has a certain bacteriolytic effect, so it can be used as a natural food preservative. It is now widely used in the preservation of aquatic products, meat products, cakes, sake, cooking wine and beverages; it can also be added to milk powder to emulsify milk to inhibit the survival of corrupt microorganisms in the intestines, while directly or indirectly promoting the proliferation of bifidobacteria in the intestines.
5. Lysozyme, as a non-specific immune factor existing in normal body fluids and tissues of the human body, has multiple pharmacological effects. It has antibacterial, antiviral and anti-tumor effects. At present, the indications of medical lysozyme are bleeding, hematuria, hematuria and rhinitis.
6. Lysozyme has the function of destroying the structure of bacterial cell walls. Protoplasts are obtained by treating G+ bacteria with this enzyme. Therefore, lysozyme is an indispensable tool enzyme for cell fusion operations in genetic engineering and cell engineering.
