The food recall warning about Ardent Mills flours and flour products being recalled for possible E. coli O121 in Canada has been updated to include more products. Harlan Bakeries in Edmonton is recalling pie and tart shells for possible contamination. There is a breakout associated with flour, but there are no confirmed illnesses associated with these products.

You can see the long list of products, along with sizes, product label pictures, codes on the product, and UPC numbers at the CFIA web site. The brand names range from no brand name to Great value, Apple Valley, and Western Family. The recalled products are Sweetened Tart Shells, Deep Dish Pie Shells, and others.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them or use them, even if you are going to bake them. Throw them away in a sealed or double bagged package or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund. Wash your hands well with soap and water after handling these products.
