Boston Beer Co. on July 27 unveiled an $85 million upgrade of its plant in Cincinnati – which is hometown to founder Jim Koch.

The old plant includes the Schoenling Brewery wher Kochs father worked. The expansion will quadruple the production of Samuel Adams, Angry Orchard, Twisted Tea and Truly Hard Seltzer beverages in Cincinnati.

The building will be expanded, canning lines will be upgraded and the exterior facade updated. Boston Beer Co. anticipates the investment will take 18 months and create 100 jobs once completed.
