Grandmas got ganja, or so says a recent report from the The Journal of the American Medical Association.

JAMA released a study earlier this week that found cannabis use by adults 65 years and older in the United States had jumped sharply from 0.4% in 2006 and 2007 to 2.9% in 2015 and 2016. The study examines the most recent national trends in cannabis use.

CNN and Today.com both offered reports on the rise in cannabis use among seniors.

Whether the chronic was helping with chronic conditions or simply to cure boredom wasnt immediately evident; however, some in the medical community worry about the interactions between prescription medications and cannabis consumption.
