International agricultural food and equipment exhibition, Iran, 2019

Iran international agricultural food and equipment exhibition is one of the largest and most professional food exhibitions in the Middle East. Sponsored by fairtrade, a German company with 25 years of experience in organizing exhibitions, fairtrade is strongly supported by the ministry of food and mining of Iran, and has obtained the UFI certification of the highest level of the exhibition. It has successfully held 25 exhibitions, including food beverage and food hotel exhibition, food and beverage machinery exhibition, food ingredients exhibition, baking and confectionery exhibition. Each exhibition will attract a large number of international exhibitors and professional visitors to participate. Iran is the fourth-largest oil country and OPECs second-largest oil exporter, and has entered the top 10 fastest growing economies. And control 10% of the worlds oil reserves. Rising oil and gas prices have boosted Irans economic consumption. Irans GDP has been rising by 7% in recent years. According to the latest statistics, the local population has now exceeded 70 million, has become the Middle Easts largest food consumption terminal market. Irans agricultural production is backward and less mechanized. In recent years, Chinas agricultural machinery export to Iran shows a growing trend. Trade between China and Iran hit a record high of about $52 billion in 2014. In the strategic plan of "One Belt And One Road" initiated by China, Iran is the only way to go. It is an observer state of the sco led by China. Any road, railway, oil and gas pipeline and communication network connecting east Asia to Europe will benefit Iran. Meanwhile, the "aiib" complementary to the "One Belt And One Road" will also provide possible financial support for Irans infrastructure construction.

Iran imported $2.3 billion worth of food, beverages and food machinery in 2014, according to United Nations trade in goods data. In particular, manufacturers of baking, beverage production, pastry, dairy processing, egg processing, fruit and vegetable processing, experimental equipment, meat processing, noodle processing, packaging and refrigeration materials and processes have seen their sales soar in Iran. Iranian imports of food processing and packaging equipment reached $361 million in 2014, up 23% from $293 million in 2010. Germany, Italy, China, France, Sweden and the Netherlands are major suppliers. Irans demand for packaging equipment will exceed $400 million in 2015, making it the largest market in the Middle East, overtaking middle eastern countries such as dubai.
