Arla Foods Ingredients unveils new solution for cooking-stable cheese

Arla Foods Ingredients has expanded its product portfolio by launching FO-7922 Organic, a new functional solution for cooking-stable cheese products.

The company claims that its new offering will help food manufacturers to meet the increasing consumer demand for healthy, natural and organic products.

FO-7922 Organic will be added to the company’s Nutrilac range of functional protein solutions, which is said to offer multiple functionalities in dairy such as improved taste, texture, creaminess and stability.

In addition to being 100% organic, the new functional solution is said to be heat-stable, allows flexible levels of sodium content.

Arla Foods Ingredients senior category manager Claus Bukbjerg Andersen said: “Contemporary ways of cooking and eating cheese are increasingly varied, and there’s demand for cooking-stable products in a variety of forms.

“At the same time, ethical purchasing drivers are increasingly important and the demand for organic products is huge. Our new solution meets all of these current market needs. It combines functional benefits with a natural, wholesome, organic positioning that boosts consumer appeal.”

In August, Arla Foods Ingredients launched its first organic micellar casein isolate, MicelPure, to help manufacturers meet the increasing demand for organic, natural and functional protein products.

Extracted from milk using a gentle process, the micellar casein isolate protein ingredient maintains its chemical structure while enabling the creation of products.

The company noted that MicelPure consists of 87% native protein and is suitable for food, functional health foods and active nutrition applications.
