Veggie Fries recalled in 15 States because of undeclared soy allergen

Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods Inc., of Elmwood Park, NJ, is recalling 8,665 cases of its Dr. Praeger’s California Veggie Fries (8 oz) because of an undeclared soy allergen.  

The recall was initiated on April 1, 2025, after the company discovered the labeling error. It is classified as a Class II recall, meaning the risk of serious health consequences is low, but temporary or reversible effects are possible for individuals with soy allergies. The recall is ongoing, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The affected product was distributed to stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Illinois, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, California, Indiana, Colorado, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Georgia, New Jersey and Florida.

As of the posting of this recall, no allergic reactions have been reported.

Consumers with soy allergies are urged not to consume the recalled veggie fries and should discard the product or return it to the place of purchase. Businesses should cease selling or distributing the affected lot.
