Idaho Smokehouse Partners LLC of Shelley, ID, has updated its recall of 29,541 pounds—more than 14 tons—of ready-to-eat beef sticks after two consumers reported finding metal pieces in the product.
Initially announced on March 20, 2025, the recall has been expanded with new details about packaging and distribution, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The beef sticks, produced between Jan. 13 and 15, 2025, carry an expiration date of Feb. 10, 2026. The updated recall now specifies that the products were shipped to distribution centers in California, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Washington for further distribution to retail locations nationwide—broader than the originally reported California and Illinois retail locations.
