Nestlé has expanded its KitKat two-finger range in the UK with the launch of two new varieties.

Honeycomb and Chocolate Hazelnut Spread will be replacing the existing KitKat two-finger cookies & Cream and Lemon Drizzle varieties.

The launch, the company said, is in response to the increasing demand for KitKat two-finger range in the country, which grew by more than 20% so far this year.

KitKat assistant brand manager Amy Bennett-Inge said: “We’ve experienced a huge demand for our two-finger KitKats this year and we know that fans love to try new flavours from the brand.

“We think our Honeycomb and Chocolate Hazelnut Spread varieties really hit the spot, and we’re sure they’ll become popular new additions to the range.”

Nestlé’s factory in York is producing the Honeycomb and Chocolate Hazelnut Spread bars.

The York facility also produces other goods such as Aero, Yorkie, Milkybar and Polo.

By the end of this month, Honeycomb will be available at Sainsbury’s in multipacks of nine bars. At Asda, it will be available from 9 November.

Additionally, Honeycomb will also be available in a 5+1 free pack format at Iceland & B&M.

Hazelnut Chocolate Spread will be available in multipacks of nine bars at Asda from 9 November.

Going forward, the company will be rolling its two new varieties across other retailers.

In April 2018, Nestlé announced that it will launch KitKat Ruby, making it the first brand to feature ruby chocolate.

The UK was the first European country to sell the Kitkat Ruby, produced using the new chocolate, seen as the fourth type after dark, milk and white.

Swiss chocolatier Barry Callebaut spent a decade developing the innovative flavour from unfermented cocoa beans that offer berry-fruitiness taste without the addition of any flavour or colour.
