Burts Chips has launched Lentil Waves, marking the brands first entry into the alternative snacks sector.

The wave format of the crunchy bites is a reference to the coastal region of Devon, UK, wher the crisps are produced.

Containing 40% less fat than potato chips, a low glycaemic index and less than 99 calories per bag, the new product also meets consumer demand for healthy snacks that taste as good as traditional crisps.

The three variants are Sour Cream & Chive Lentil Waves, Thai Sweet Chilli Lentil Waves and Lightly Salted Lentil Waves.
