The J.M. Sucker Company is recalling certain lots of 9LivesTM, EverPetTM, and Special KittyTM canned cat food due to possible low levels of thiamine (Vitamin B1). No illnesses related to this issue have been reported to date.

Cats fed diets low in thiamine for several weeks can be at risk for gastrointestinal or neurological problems. Contact your veterinarian if you cat is displaying decreased appetite, salivation, vomiting, weight loss, wobbly walking, circling, and falling.

You can see the long list of recalled products, along with UPC numbers, lot numbers, and UPC case codes at the FDA web site. They include 9Lives brand foods in several varieties, EverPet Mixed Grill Dinner, and Special Kitty brand foods in several varieties.

If you purchased any of these products, do not use them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
