Snack Mania Brazilian Delights Corp., an Elizabeth, NJ restaurant, is recalling 9,722 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken coxinhas products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The problem was discovered during routine FSIS surveillance activities when FSIS determined that the chicken coxinhas products did not have the USDA mark of inspection and were produced in a facility that was not inspected by USDA.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers.
These items were shipped to retail locations in Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
The frozen ready-to-eat chicken coxinhas products were produced on various dates from June 27, 2024, through May 2, 2025. The products subject to recall do not bear the USDA mark of inspection.

As of the posting of this recall, there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase. Consumers concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
