The Fi Global Startup Innovation Challenge organised during Food ingredients Europe is the best place for innovators to pitch their ideas to industry leaders who will help them bring their project further.

As part of this commitment, FIE are pleased to present the “Spotting traps on the road to success, tips for F&B startups” webinar. Entrepreneurs and industry specialists were invited to discuss the difficulties startups may face. The panel will offer tips on what to think of to avoid the pitfalls on the path to success.

Meet the panel

Eshchar Ben-Shitrit 
Eshchar is the founder and CEO of Redefine Meat, an Israeli startup which developed a plant-based (proteins) meat 3D printer. Eshchar received the 2018 Startup Innovation Challenge prize for Most innovative plant-based finished product.

Saskia Hoebée
Saskia is an analyst at the Dutch bank Rabobank and focuses on food and agriculture innovation. She helps accelerate growth of the best Food and Agri tech startups worldwide by providing them access to financial networks, knowledge and finance. She is also a member of Foodbytes! By Rabobank.

Karim-Franck Khinouche
Karim-Franck is the founder and CEO of Novolyze, a French startup leading food safety revolution by developing the first range of surrogate bacteria allowing the food industry to test the efficacy of microbial kill steps in real-life conditions. Karim-Franck has a background in business and marketing development for the food and pharma industries.

Christiaan Kalk
Christiaan is the founder of lsbi | life science-based innovations, a consultancy serving both startups and established food ingredient companies developing healthier and more sustainable products. He has over 20 years of experience in regulatory affairs, testing strategy, sales, B-to-B marketing and communication in the food chain and has worked with TNO, Wageningen University and BENEO.
