Auchan stores for sale: Employees prepare to demonstrate

In a particularly gloomy context for supermarkets, Auchan has announced the sale of 21 of its sites. 723 jobs are at risk. Indeed, if Auchan is looking for a buyer, the sites put up for sale have been in the red financially for several years.

Last week, a demonstration organized by the CGT was held in front of Auchans headquarters in Croix to oppose this social plan. A CGT general assembly is scheduled next week in Perpignan with all representative bases in France, to discuss the next steps to protest.
