Description
L-Tyrosine is a nonessential amino acid with a polar side group. It is one of the 22 amino acids that are used by
cells to synthesize proteins. L-Tyrosine functions as a receiver of phosphate groups that are transferred by way of
protein kinases (so-called receptor tyrosine kinases). L-Tyrosine is used for tissue culture, as biochemical
reagents, or for treatment of hyperthyroidism. L-Tyrosine can also be used in the elderly and children food
supplements, or as plant leaf nutrient. L-Tyrosine is obtained by the purification of crude crystal.
