L(-)-Borneol, also known as natural borneol, is a terpenoid compound extracted from Cinnamomum camphora (a species in the Lauraceae family). Its primary pharmacological effects include resuscitation, heat clearance, pain relief, as well as antiseptic and antipruritic actions. Clinically, it is commonly used for acute conditions such as stroke-induced coma and high fever with impaired consciousness.
