Cereal Ingredients to build food manufacturing facility in Missouri

American food ingredients developer Cereal Ingredients has unveiled plans to build its new food manufacturing facility in Missouri.

The 80,000ft² facility will be constructed in St Joseph, which will feature new technology to increase the product line.

Involving a $24m investment, the new facility will be built in Eastowne Business Park and hire nearly 50 people.

Cereal Ingredients CEO Robert Hatch said: “Cereal Ingredients is excited to open a state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility in St Joseph.

“The goodwill we have built with our customers has allowed us the opportunity to expand. We appreciate all the help provided by the City of St Joseph, the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce, Buchanan County, the State of Missouri, Newmark Zimmer and all of the other participants who helped finalise this project.

“We look forward to a completion date in the first quarter of 2022.”

The company has been engaged in the development of unique and new food ingredients, as well as holds multiple product and process patents worldwide.

St Joseph Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Partnership president and CEO R Patt Lilly said: “We are very pleased to have Cereal Ingredients selec St Joseph for its first expansion outside of their campus in Leavenworth, Kansas.
