Ben & Jerrys has gone to the dogs. At least thats according to the recent announcement revealing the creamerys newest introduction into the pet food market.

"We know our fans love their dogs and treat them like family," said Lindsay Bumps, a Ben & Jerrys Global Marketing Specialist. Bumps is also a certified veterinary technician. "We created this product line so pups can enjoy something even better than belly rubs."

According to the company, this is the first time it has ventured into pet food. Called Doggie Desserts, the frozen treats come in two flavors and are made specifically for canines. The treats are formulated with a sunflower butter base and come in a mix of peanut butter and pretzel—Dubbed "Pontchs Mix"—or pumpkin and min cookies—called  "Rosies Batch."

A dog-friendly workplace, the two new treats were named after two dogs in the Ben & Jerrys office.
