Glanbia Nutritionals to acquire flavour manufacturer Foodarom

Glanbia Nutritionals has finalised an agreement to acquire Canadian custom flavour manufacturer Foodarom for C$60m ($45m).

Established in 2006 by Pierre Miclette (CEO) and John Murphy (COO), Foodarom manufactures flavours for food, beverage and nutritional product industries.

With more than 15,000 recipes, the Montreal headquartered company manufactures both liquid and powder products for various applications.

In addition to Quebec, the company operates two manufacturing facilities in Salt Lake City and Bremen, Germany.

It also operates culinary laboratories in San Diego and Milan, Italy.

Foodarom CEO Pierre Miclette said: “Foodarom is beginning this new adventure filled with anticipation and surrounded by our employees, who are what makes this company great.

“This new chapter in our story is an important springboard that will help boost Foodarom’s visibility.”
