In an effort to keep COVID-19 out of its facilities, Tyson Foods is using infrared body temperature scanners in three of its U.S. plants.
According to a report on CNBC, which Tyson gave the exclusive first look to, every person that enters one of the three facilities wher the scanners are being used has their temperature taken before entering the facility. Tom Brower, senior vice president of health and safety for Tyson Foods told CNBC the scanners allow for mass screening and are faster and more accurate than handheld devices.
