New dry garlic storage brings concerns

This year, the new dry garlic has entered storage and the transaction is concentrated in the middle and late July and early August. By the end of August, the fresh garlic in the garlic area had basically all entered the storage, and the garlic traders in the industry are paying more and more attention to the storage data. Although the current new dry garlic storage data is being collected, according to incomplete statistics, the total national storage volume is temporarily estimated at 3.8 million to 3.9 million tons, an increase of 25.81% over the same period last year.

At present, there are many versions of the estimation of storage in the industry, at least 3.2 million tons to 3.3 million tons, and at most 4.5 million tons, including old garlic. At present, garlic traders have mixed feelings regardless of how much garlic they have. On the one hand, there is a profit margin in the current sales of some low-cost goods. The profit margin of Zhangzhou Jingcai and Cangshan 46-petal garlic is adequate, and there is not much supply in the storage period.

On the other hand, under the current inventory, there is pressure on the sales of the garlic, and the risk still seems greater than the profit.

Cui Xiaona reminded that although there are probably some stocks, the planting area cannot be completely determined. It is expected that the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the storage will be reduced and the export volume of the garlic will increase. It is more likely that the low-priced storage source depositors intend to go along and sell the garlic to the vendors.
