Add a large strawberry, remove a small one. While the punnets of strawberries pass by, the machine indicates exactly how large the deviation is in weight. Punnets within the margins are transported via another conveyor towards the top-seal machine.

Weighing machine adjusted
ARCO from Horst develops innovative machines and installations for weighing, packing and palletising products in fresh produce. To weigh strawberries, raspberries and other soft fruit even more efficiently, the Light to Perform weighing machine has been innovated. The innovated weighing machine has been given a completely different look, higher capacity can now be achieved, it’s more flexible and less expensive.

Higher capacity
The speed of manual actions has always been decisive for the capacity of weighing up till now. The new version of the weighing line makes it possible to work on two sides, using two operators instead of one. With an additional operator, higher capacity can be achieved.

Higher flexibility
Besides a higher capacity, the new weighing machine also has a higher flexibility. From now on, the machine can be used from both left to right and from right to left. This means a higher level of flexibility in the packing process.

Less expensive
The number of weighing units in the machine has been reduced from 10 to 6. Because of this, the machine can be supplied at a more favourable price. This means the new weighing machine has a shorter payback period and a higher return on investment.

Uses
ARCO’s new self-managing weighing machine with Light to Perform function is ideal for products picked in their packaging, such as soft fruit (strawberries, raspberries and blueberries) and mushrooms.
