Tozer Seeds, an independent British seed company, officially opened its new subsidiary, Tozer Seeds Pacific (TSP), in Australia on 1st July 2018. Bruno Tigani will run this part of the business having worked in the industry for over 25 years.

July 1st saw the creation of Tozer Seeds Pacific. This new Tozer company becomes the third Tozer subsidiary after Tozer Ibérica and Tozer Seeds America. Tozer Managing Director Steve Winterbottom explained, ‘the new company will be based in Melbourne, Australia but its focus will be regional, covering Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, China and Japan. We are tremendously excited to be taking this step. TSP will help expose us to new markets and provide feedback to help steer our breeding’.

The new company will be managed by Bruno Tigani. Bruno has years of experience within the seed world, including managing Australian distributor Fairbanks from 2004 – 2013. Bruno commented ‘It’s great to be finally and formally part of the Tozer family. Although I’m far away it’s great to have the support from Tozer Head Quarters in the UK.’

Bruno will be assisted in China by Shanghai based Technical Manager, Dr Chenyi Yao. Chenyi has worked in the UK as a molecular biologist at Tozer for 9 years and last year returned home to help further develop Tozer’s commercial and breeding work in China.
Tozer Seeds specialises in breeding, production and distribution of quality vegetable seed. Its tradition for innovation in plant breeding drives it to produce market leading vegetable varieties.
