Sierra Nevada Brewing Company of California is recalling some of its 12 ounce bottles of pale ales, IPAs, and other beers after finding a packaging flaw that could cause glass pieces in the product. Eight different types of craft beers were sold in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and 34 other states across the country.

The beers were packaged between December 5, 2016 and January 13, 2017. Quality inspections found that some bottles had a flaw that may cause a small piece of glass to break off and it may fall into a bottle. This creates a choking or laceration hazard. There have been no reports of consumer injuries reported to date.

The recalled beers have a packaging date within that range and a brewery code of “M.” They are all in 12 ounce bottles. They include Pale Ale in 6-, 12-, and 24-pack cases packaged 12/5/16 to 1/8/17; Torpedo Extra IPA in 6-, 12-, and 24-pack cases packaged 12/5/16 through 1/13/17; Tropical Torpedo in 6-packs, packaged 12/5/16 to 1/13/17; and Sidecar Orange Pale Ale in 6-, 12-, and 24-pack cases packaged 12/5/16 to 1/13/17. Also recalled is Beer Camp Golden IPA in 6-, 12-, and 24-pack cases packaged 12/5/16 to 1/13/17; Otra Vez in 6-packs, packaged 1/5/16 to 1/13/17; Nooner in 6-packs, packaged 1/5/16 to 1/13/17; and Hop Hunter in 6-, 12-, and 24-pack cases packaged 1/5/16 to 1/13/17.

The company has stopped distributing these products and is removing it from retail stores. If you purchased any of these products, do not drink them. Return them to the store wher you bought them for a full refund.
