The confectioner further added that it is an additional investment to the $1bn already invested in its US-based manufacturing, creating 1,000 new jobs in the past five years.

The company has recently invested in its Petcare business to expand its production capabilities in Fort Smith and Arkansas.

Last year, the company invested in production facilities in Topeka, Kansas; New Sioux City, South Dakota; and Yorkville, Illinois.
The company further explained that its new investments would create new jobs and add more Mars products to be made in local communities across the US.
