I like to go to the supermarket to buy fresh treasures

Please note!

"Supermarket sales of fresh agricultural products management technical specifications" (GB / T 22502-2025) has been officially implemented on March 1, 2026, replacing the old version in 2008. As the recommended national standard to regulate supermarket fresh food operations, the new version is upgraded in such areas as safety, quality, experience, and digitalization, so as to better meet the needs of people's livelihood.

Fresh produce is one of the products most closely related to consumers' daily lives and one of the most frequently purchased items. As an important channel for the sale of fresh produce, supermarkets' operational service level directly affects customer attractiveness and market competitiveness. The revised new version of the national standard closely addresses the requirements of national laws and regulations and the pain points of industry development, achieving multidimensional breakthroughs on the basis of the original standard.

In response to people's concerns about buying vegetables, Ningxiao City invited experts from the Nanjing Institute of Standardization to answer the new national standards.

Q1: Go to the supermarket to buy fresh, will you encounter "beauty lamp"?

A1: Disabled! The New China Regulations prohibit the use of red and green color lights to beautify ingredients in fresh food areas, enforce the use of white light / close to natural light lighting, restore the true color of ingredients, and prevent light color differences from misleading consumption at the source.

Q2: How to find out the source of fresh products in supermarket?

A2: A key traceability, counterfeiting nowhere to hide. The new national standard stipulates that supermarkets must be connected to the national agricultural product quality and safety traceability system, and consumers can scan the code to see: the origin, testing report, the full circulation trajectory, the label information is authentic and verifiable, and false labeling is strictly prohibited.

Q3: buy a box of strawberries, a layer of a layer, "excessive packaging" how to manage?

A3: Slim down for packaging and refuse to pay for premium! The new national standard strictly controls excessive packaging, prohibits multiple layers of redundancy and excessive filling, limits packaging to preservation and protection, reduces excessive packing costs, and makes consumers pay only for the fresh food itself.

Q4: Is there any more strict guarantee for the freshness of fresh food?

A4: Whole process lock fresh, unqualified immediately off the shelf. The new national standard requires that fresh products implement uninterrupted, closed-loop cold control throughout the cold chain, promote intelligent temperature and humidity real-time monitoring, and deteriorated and damaged goods must be immediately handled, and strictly implement advanced first delivery.

Q5: What are the requirements of the new national standard on the fresh shopping environment of supermarkets?

A5: Improve the environment, keep the bottom line of health and safety. The new national standards further standardize the lines and layout of supermarket fresh areas, strengthen the ventilation, disinfection and drainage facilities, strictly control sanitary disinfection, effectively reduce the risk of cross-contamination, and make shopping more peace and comfort for consumers.

Q6: What are the benefits of digital management in the new national standard for consumers?

A6: The whole process is transparent and the right to know is firmly in hand. The supermarket has established a digital management platform, traceability throughout the whole chain of procurement, storage and sales, and is open and transparent throughout its operations, effectively protecting consumers' food safety and legal rights and interests.

New national standards focus on pain points in people's lives

Make supermarket grocery operations more efficient

All efforts are made to protect consumers' "food baskets."
