Common Consumption Traps
(1) Confusion between the concept of net weight and gross weight. Some takeaway merchants advertise "three pounds of crawfish," but fail to mention in small print on the detail page that the package weight includes side dishes, soup juices and dressings, deliberately misleading consumers, confusing the total weight with the net weight of shrimp meat, and violating consumers' right to know.
(ii) blurring the raw and cooked weight standard. Offline stores generally label "raw shrimp 3 pounds," but they do not inform consumers in advance about the reduction of cooking ingredients, advertise the weight of raw shrimp, deliver cooked shrimp, and later justify cooking losses on the grounds of cooking loss, and mislead consumers to consume.
(3) Hidden restrictions on low-price marketing. (1) verify consumption information in advance.
