A few days ago, it was learned from the National Food Safety Risk Assessment Center that the new food additive lipase, the new food nutrition enhancer 3-fucosyllactose and lactose-N-tetrasaccharide, the expanded food additive ammonium sulfate, and the new food raw material animal Bifidobacterium lactis subspecies CP-9 have passed the technical review of the expert review committee and are now open for comments.
Among them, lipase, as an enzyme preparation for food industry, has been listed in the National Food Safety Standard, Standard for the Use of Food Additives (GB 2760). The lipase solicited this time is a new variety of enzyme preparations for the food industry derived from new production bacteria, which is mainly used to catalyze the hydrolysis of triglycerides, such as used in oil processing technology. After safety assessment, lipase can be safely used in food production and processing, and its quality specifications are in accordance with the National Food Safety Standard, Food Additives, Enzyme Preparations for Food Industry (GB 1886.174). The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan, the French Food Safety Agency, and the Danish Veterinary and Food Agency allow it to be used as an enzyme preparation for the food industry.
3-Fucosyllactose is used as a new variety of food fortifier for the preparation of milk powder (milk powder for children only) (food category 01.03.02), infant formula (food category 13.01.01), formula for older infants and young children (food category 13.01.02), and infant formula for special medical purposes (food category 13.01.03). This substance is a breast milk oligosaccharide in breast milk and is used as a food fortifier. After safety evaluation, 3-fucosyllactose can be safely used in the declared food category. The US Food and Drug Administration and the European Commission allow it to be used in food categories such as infant formula.
Lactose-N-tetrasaccharide, as a new variety of food nutrition fortifier, is used to prepare milk powder (milk powder for children only) (food category 01.03.02), infant formula (food category 13.01.01), formula food for older infants and young children (food category 13.01.02), and infant formula food for special medical purposes (food category 13.01.03). This substance is a breast milk oligosaccharide in breast milk and is used as a food fortifier. After safety assessment, lactose-N-tetraose can be used safely in the declared food category, and its quality specifications are implemented in accordance with the relevant requirements of the draft for comments. The US Food and Drug Administration, the European Commission, the Food Standards Agency of Australia and New Zealand, etc. allow it to be used in food categories such as infant formula.
Ammonium sulfate as a processing aid for the food industry has been included in the "National Food Safety Standards for the Use of Food Additives" (GB 2760), as a nutrient for fermentation, used in the fermentation process. The application to expand the scope of use for collagen casing processing technology, play a decalcification effect. After safety evaluation, ammonium sulfate can be safely used in the processing of collagen casings, and its quality specifications are in accordance with the National Food Safety Standard for Food Additive Ammonium Sulfate (GB 29206). The US Food and Drug Administration, the European Commission and others allow it to be used in food.
Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. CP-9 genus Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis, isolated from breast milk. The application is included in the "list of strains that can be used in infant food" and is used for direct consumption in food as strains that can be used in infant food. The food safety index of the raw material shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of the announcement. Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis has been included in the list of recommended microorganisms in China's "list of strains that can be used in food" and the European Food Safety Authority's qualification (QPS) list.
