Carlo Gavazzi is exhibiting its solid-state relays (SSRs) and contactors as well as its IO-link compatible sensors at PACK EXPO Las Vegas.

Unlike conventional contactors and relays, SSRs have no moving parts, and, as a result, have a longer lifespan. Moreover, Carlo Gavazzi’s SSRs feature direct copper bonding technology, which further increases their life and reliability, the company says. The range includes single phase relays up to 125 amps and three phase relays up to 75 amps, and all products are available with zero switching, random switching, peak switching, and analog switching. In addition, they can be chassis-mounted or DIN rail-mounted.

Carlo Gavazzi’s IO-link sensor line includes photoelectric sensors and inductive and capacitive proximity sensors. once connected to an IO-link master, these sensors are capable of point-to-point, bidirectional communication. In addition to the sensors themselves, Carlo Gavazzi is also showcasing its SCTL55 hand-held programmer, which can be used to configure sensor parameters without the need for a PC or other device. The SCTL55 is compatible with both Carlo Gavazzi and Non-Carlo Gavazzi sensors, and can also be used to download IODD files through a built-in Wi-Fi connection.
