China Food 2019 Shines in June in Shanghai

China national food industry association (CNFIA) is a self-regulation management organization for national food industry established in October 29, 1981 under the approval of the State Council. China national food industry association has been reformed continually for over past 30 years. It gradually transformed from an organization that performed some government functions at the beginning, to a social intermediary organization to meet the requirements of socialist market and economic system.

The main functions of the association are service, self-discipline, coordination, and rights protection. Its work scope is: First, participate in national or regional food industry planning, provide recommendations for policy or action; second, announce economical information of food industry, and guide the industry healthily developing; third, promote science and technology progress of food industry and improve overall level of development; fourth, cooperation with local government, promote development of leading enterprises of food industry and construct food industry city and food industry park; fifth, take part in building food safety laws and regulations and standard system, to improve food quality, health and safety level; sixth, perfect industry norms and strengthen industry self-regulation; seventh, reflect views and aspirations of food companies initiatively, to protect legitimate rights and interests of enterprises; eighth, participate in work of ensuring food safety actively and establish a good image of the food industry.
